India is a Land of “Faith, Spirituality and Mystery” and one of the most convictional places in Hinduism is “Mount Kailash’.
It is also known as “Kailasa” derived from the sanskrit word “k?l?sa” which means crystal. It is located at Ngari Region of Tibet Autonomous region, China. It is in the mountain range of Transhimalaya, which is parallel to the Himalayan range.
The entry point for Mount Kailash is Darchen, located right in front of Mount Kailash.
Temperature ranges around 15°C in summers (May to August) and -15°C in winters (December to April). The best season to visit Mount Kailash is from May to November. Geographically Mount Kailash is known as the center of the world.
India’s four longest rivers; the Indus River, the Brahmputra River, the Sutlej River and the Karnali River’s all originate from the foot hills of Mount Kailash. River Sutlej flows from the west of the mount, The Brahmputra from the East, Indus River from the North and largest tributary of the holy river Ganga- the Karnali River from the south.
The most sacred and mysterious place on earth which is an abode of Lord Shiva worshipped by four different religions- Bön, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism.
It has been a home to many great saints and sages, Agastya Muni, “The Nayanars”, Tirthankara Rishabhadeva and so on, all attained liberation on this sacred pillar of Power.

It is believe to be the home of Shiva, the Lord of Tantra and Yoga, and his wife Parvati. Every year thousands of pilgrims visit to seek the blessing of Lord Shiva. Time travels fast at Mount Kailash, pilgrims have reported quick hair and nails growth within 12 hours, which equals to two weeks under normal conditions.
Mount Kailash is regarded as the Axis Mundi or Axis of the world, which means the connection between physical and Spiritual world.
It is believe that Circumambulating on foot around it brings good fortune and spiritual peace. Hindu believes that once in a lifetime a person should go to Mount Kailash and attain "The Moksha".
